@hkeye_: Passengers were seen climbing onto bus seats to escape rising floodwaters as torrential rain turned streets into rivers across Istanbul, Turkey. More than 1,200 emergency incidents have been reported, with submerged highways, collapsed roads and widespread traffic disruption. The governor’s office said that education would be suspended for a day on Thursday, and state employees with disabilities and mothers with young children would be placed on leave. It advised residents to stay home unless travel was absolutely necessary and for people living in basement apartments to spend the night elsewhere. #hkeye #turkey#turkish #istanbul#passeger #bus #traffic #torrentialrain #rain #heavyrain #extremeweather #floodwater #rainfall#flood #trafficdisruption #submerge #emergency #roads
