As a para, I don’t think other people realize how hard it it to get out of this line of work once you’re in it. I’ve tried to go in other directions and nobody will hire you bc our experience is in education

Therein lies the problem. People who work in education (not all, but many) actually love their job. Myself included. And it pays... shit. Your wage also heavily depends on your state and district too.
