Michelle spent six years on the Broncos cheer team, from 1997 to 2003, and was team captain for four of them. She later moved to Los Angeles to pursue sports journalism. She worked as an NFL Network field reporter and joined ESPN in 2014 as a features reporter. Rich Eisen, her colleague at the time, introduced the two in the fall of 2012. She was dating someone, and she had said, “Please don’t say it’s Joe Buck.” She thought he looked “smug and arrogant” in a car rental commercial. Buck texted her, “Still live with that boyfriend of yours? Well, that’s dumb.” She ended things with her boyfriend and started dating Buck around the 2013 Super Bowl. She later said he is “the furthest thing from arrogant or smug.” When she mentioned she loved men with tattoos, he got two on his biceps. They married on April 12, 2014, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Their twin sons, Wyatt and Blake, were born in 2018. Michelle has said she went through three rounds of IVF to conceive. Buck also has daughters Trudy and Natalie from his earlier marriage.
