I asked 20 agents, managers, and people who negotiate creator deals to rank niches from highest to lowest paid for brand partnerships. Of course there are always exceptions. A creator in a “lower-paying” niche can absolutely out-earn a creator in a “higher-paying” one. But what surprised me was how consistent the responses were. The top 3 niches were almost identical across nearly every answer. The rest had some variation, but overall people were ranking them pretty similarly. A few interesting things that came up: • Personal Finance, Business, and Tech were consistently near the top because brands in those industries often have bigger budgets and higher-value customers. • Fashion and Travel were ranked lower than many people expect because a lot of partnerships are barter-based (free products, trips, hotel stays, etc.) rather than cash deals. • Food was consistently near the bottom. Not because food creators aren’t valuable, but because food products are usually lower-cost purchases, so brands make less money per customer. Several people also mentioned that there are a lot of food creators willing to take those partnerships, which affects rates. Again, this isn’t a ranking of who can make the most money overall. It’s simply the average ranking of what people in the industry see when it comes to brand deal rates. Curious if anything on the list surprised you 👀
