During Covid we did a pre approval before going to buy my truck. It made it so much easier. We pretty much didn’t have to deal with a sales men. We just had to send the bank the VIN and they handled the rest. Took us like 20 mins to have the keys

You should actually call and ask for the “price sheet” then ask for the add ons to be removed, the las just changed and they have to do that. But yeah a pre approval is good to have before hand, we are averaging about 8 percent off of MSRP

As a used car salesman if you come in pre approved with navy fed I’m giving you a discount. That’s way less work for me. If you’re polite and courteous even bigger discount. If you’re broke and RUDE and need me to help get financing for you no discount. Especially if you’re RUDE. If you’re struggling financially and polite I will move heaven and earth to actually help. The biggest way to get me to agree to make less money is for you to be nice. Why would I want to make less money if you are being a jerk the whole time.

I’ve clung to @USAA for many moons now. My wife used to work in the corporate world and she was the head of the USAA account for the 3rd party call center! Bank of America was 😬 especially when I actually started going in and out of the country they would freeze my bank account. So switching was obviously the right call. I also had no clue that there were banks for just military as a old country bump from the middle of nowhere in coal Mining country in Virginia and my first bank account was at the Bank of America bank account so that I can get paid when I joined the Army. They’ve been 😬 working some bugs out we shall see! Congrats on your “paid partnership” w/Im assuming @Navy Federal Credit Union if my powers of deduction serve me right 👊👊✌️
