I recently spent 2 days in Durmitor National Park, Montenegro and it ended up being my favourite area. It is absolutely beautiful and pictures cannot capture how stunning and rugged the landscape is. The top activities to do are: 1. Durmitor Ring road - a stunning loop drive that will leave you in awe. But the roads are narrow, requiring a lot of slowing and moving when passing another car. There’s also a lot of blind turns where you can’t tell if another car is coming. Only do this if you are a relatively confident driver. You can also join tours of this drive if you do not have a driver (link in bio) 2. Bobotov Kuk hike - loved this hike so much! There are rewarding views from the very start and the scenery changes as you do your hike. Absolutely stunning views make how hard this hike is totally worth it. It is a challenging hike that is steep and with rock scrambles. Be prepared! It also took us 8 hrs with a 45 minute stop at the top because I am so slow and kept on stopping to take photos and admire the gorgeous view 3. Black lake is one of the most popular spots, a gorgeous and accessible lake with a nice loop track. When we arrive it was raining but that added a nice charm to it. Parking can be expensive at €3/hr inside but some people opt to park outside the gates and walk in which is free. 4. Curovac view point - gorgeous view of Tara Canyon, the largest canyon in Europe! It is a easy 2km hike so highly recommend! You can also raft in the canyon which is a really popular activity we did not do.
