this made me cry because i had the strongest bond out of any animal with my girl. as an oldest “daughter” with a formerly reactive dog who relied on me more than anything, who growled at everything but me, who barked relentlessly and had misdirected aggression when she was worked up.. i needed her the way she needed me

He was so nasty that even my dad hated him when I got him.... by the time he passed, he was sweetest, most gentle and loving dog. We didn't break each other but we healed each other.

Angry oldest daughter. My reactive soul dog was the reason I didn’t need an alarm when I moved out on my own. NOTHING was getting in past him. He inspired me to become a trainer, specializing in reactivity.

I stopped the video because i dont want to cry, but we’ve been in a training academy for 3 months now, and I just want to tell all of you today Loki didnt react when another reactive dog kept barking at him, he just looked at me for reassurance and I was so happy to tell him I would not let anything happen to him 😭💖

As an eldest daughter, the shelter I adopted my dog from made me sign a waiver before I took him home stating that I was well informed of his behavioral issues. He is legit the love of my life 🖤

This just hit me so hard... damn. As a first born jaw clencher, it took me until middle age to recognize my comfort in bonding with dogs vs discomfort bonding with other humans is rooted in exactly this.

I’ve come back to your tik tok several times today. It’s a perfect representation of my relationship with my reactive Aussie. It’s so difficult to manage a reactive dog but choosing him, loving him, and caring for him is the best thing I’ve ever done. ❤️

My reactive dog was an old mean horse. He only let me ride him, he refused to be kind to those tho abused him and so did I. He saved me and losing him broke me in ways I’ll never heal from
