Nail tech here she definitely ripped them off. It CAN act as a shield over your natural nails it won’t make them stronger but it can help retain length. If u want stronger nails try a builder gel and DO NOT rip it off or you’ll compromise your nail bed more

It definitely can be! You just have to be consistent, and remove them properly! This is right after my soak off so they look crusty lol. But this is about 7 weeks of nail growth, so about 2 sets of gel-x. I was a BAD nail biter and had absolute nubs. But you have have have to remove them correctly. it looks like you popped them off, and that unfortunately takes a lot of layers off the nail bed.

Girl, you ripped them off I can tell just from the pattern that’s left on your nail bed ripping them off is not gonna make your nail beds Any better but technically yes gel X is a lot safer because when it comes off, it just pops off

There is no enhancement that’s going to make your nails “stronger” just stable but also ripping them off isn’t going to help either

as a nail tech, it is better, but you NEED to soak them off and remove them properly. they look like THAT because i can tell you ripped and pealed them off, not soaked them off.

as someone who does my own nails, they get stronger when i’m patient enough to do a soak off…which was one time. we’re in the same boat. try to find a good nail strengthener so use between sets!
