hi, actually to make a proper loyal soldier from ancient time, they are given a purpose. A purpose that so noble that it is outside their self. country, god , king , culture etc

Kind of horrifying how it’s basically highlighting that war is not a natural state for us at all but society is still manufacturing people to this path

she's wrong actually. give the men something to defend that they have some skin in the game for, like country, way of life and a better future and they'll fight like tigers.

It took the Army 16 weeks to turn me from a civilian into a basic soldier..I had a presentation one afternoon to turn me back again into civilian after 22 years of service
It's no wonder so many veterans have struggles and demons!

The fact that wars have almost purely been started by sad men in power, throughout history, has been depressing to see, knowing that we could now change that narrative

Add to that the psychological profiling of the other side as less than human, so the robotic killing never gets reflected upon.

People experience the same disconnect when it comes to eating animals. Most people who consume animal products wouldn’t even be able to witness the slaughter, let alone do it themselves.

Also you can preach it to them from a very young age… thankyou Hollywood. Then you make it even more attractive by making life a little easier by enticing them into the military with all the benefits they’ll receive, thereby keeping them off the streets….

I'd assume this only applies to modern society? Because the desire to kill outsiders with rocks isn't something that had to be taught to proto-humans and early sapiens.

It’s interesting the mention of the soldier and not the marine, sailor or the aviator. I think this is a very simplistic ideology and one is often related by someone who looks at the an academic input and not reality.
