This movie had us on edge for almost the entire runtime, but unfortunately, the payoff just wasn’t there. The beginning was genuinely terrifying. The creepy paranormal encounters, unsettling atmosphere, and constant suspense had us expecting something crazy. But as the story unfolded, it shifted away from the supernatural horror we were anticipating and became more of a psychological murder mystery. We appreciated the unique concept and the symbolism surrounding death, time, and the paranormal. However, the movie introduced so many interesting ideas, especially the sisters’ backstory and the connection between the living and the dead, without fully exploring them. Our biggest issue was the ending. After building so much tension around this terrifying supernatural figure, the actual reveal felt underwhelming. The villain lacked the presence and motivation we expected, and the climax didn’t justify all that buildup. It’s not a bad movie. The atmosphere and suspense were genuinely effective, but the complicated storytelling and disappointing payoff left us feeling like there was so much wasted potential.
