Frank Gashumba is leading the group of people criticizing pastors in Uganda, claiming that no pastor can perform miracles and going so far as to stake 200 million Shillings for any pastor to go into hospital intensive care units to heal the sick on demand. But having spiritual power does not mean using it to perform circus tricks or satisfy media challenges. In Matthew 4:5–7, when Satan tempted Jesus Christ in the wilderness, he brought Him to the pinnacle of the temple and challenged Him, saying: "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: 'He shall give His angels charge over you...'" Just as Satan demanded that Jesus perform a public spectacle to prove His authority, Frank Gashumba is acting in that same spirit by putting money on the line and demanding that servants of God perform on his command. Jesus refused Satan's conditions and answered him directly: "It is written again, 'You shall not test the LORD your God.'" Furthermore, in Matthew 17:20 and Mark 11:23, Jesus taught that if you have faith, you can say to a mountain, "Move from here to there," and it will move, proving that God's power operates through divine faith and alignment with God's will, not through human dares, financial bets, or public mockery. Those who challenge pastors to perform tricks in exchange for money should read the Bible to understand that true miracles are gifts of God's grace for the desperate who believe, not performance shows for skeptics.
