@vitext_designstudio: How do you build a massive bridge pier right in the middle of a violent ocean without the concrete washing away? 🌊🏗️ Most people think engineers just pour concrete straight into the sea, but the sea floor doesn't care about your plans! Instead, they use a genius weapon: the cofferdam. By driving giant steel sheet piles into the seabed and pumping out the water, engineers essentially build a dry job site right inside the ocean. They kick the ocean out, pour high-strength marine concrete, and let it harden like rock before building the pier upward. Pure engineering genius! 🤯 What do you think of this technique?
