The Eternals just needed to be shorter. They could've ripped out a good 40 minutes and made a much tighter story.

Ironically my favorite part of the Eternals WAS Kingo. Whenever he wasn't on screen I was thinking, "Where's Kingo?!"

Somebody give that man a role where he gets to flex and be hot. Something with lots of action and espionage and cool explosions he can walk away from in slow motion while we admire the hard work he put into his abs

Eternals was a good movie. It was not a good super hero movie, it was more of a fantasy epic. I feel like if the same movie had been released outside of the mcu, it would have been much better received.

also from what I've heard the only good part of eternals was kumail nanjiani. so the movie failed but he did not.

people didn't like the eternals not because it didn't follow the marvel plant. they didn't like it because it was a 3-hour bloated mess

Kumail had always been hilarious. I've been a fan since the Meltdown days. He was really good in Silicon Valley.

I watched Eternals in the theater and thought it was ok at best but didnt really think it sucked. Then I went home and watched Shang-Chi right after since it was on streaming and was like, "Ohhhh... Yeah, no. Eternals sucked. This is way better." 😭

Eternals was just too big for its own good. It was cool but that particular movie should have been a part 2 or 3. Way to much info in one movie

I loved that movie. But let’s be honest, most of the marvel films have weak stories and don’t have a lot of heart. That’s not his fault.

The movie was was pretty decent but just like every failed MCU movie, it lacked a good villain. Heroes are only as good as the villains they battle. Icarus turning on them was too predictable. They could’ve done the whole movie set in prehistoric times and it would’ve been cool. They had just introduced us to new characters and then took us straight to the band falling apart. But we don’t even like them yet and already we’re supposed to hate them for turning 😫?

I really think that movie was a casualty of Marvel fatigue. If it came out two years earlier or later it likely would have done better.
