@drnthabimoleko: Most South Africans have never had a seat at the economic table. In thriving economies, corner shops, butcheries and small businesses drive production. Here it’s mostly big listed companies that most of us don’t own a share of. Restructuring of the economy is vital, so that South Africans own a share of production and the value chain, not just the jobs. 🇿🇦 #entrepreneurship #drnthabimoleko #economist #metrofm

Seeking Truth :

I've always been complaining about malls. Malls are a huge part of why our City centres are dead.

Khaya Mkatu :

Problem is the people running Department of Small Business have never run businesses before. They are technocrats. Now they cannot even fathom what you are saying. The funding model we have just doesn't work for grassroots businesses. The requirements are like you are applying for a bank loan while applying for a R100 000.00 grant that comes from taxpayers money. There is just too much redtape and gatekeeping.

Tenfourty5🫥 :

SMEs should be in the hands of South Africans including Salons, Spaza, Fast food outlets, Car wash...etc

man2man :

the problem with our government is that they have allowed big businesses to own our township economy, these businesses only offer employment opportunities and not equities in the businesses, these malls should support small businesses in the township by selling our atchaars and clothes made by our own dressmakers etc.

This lady has been flying this small business entrepreneurial strategy to solve socioeconomic problem in smaller towns but ke this government and its banking masters 🫠
