A lot of those types of fire surround are hung on key slot fittings, if you clean around the edges it may lift up, with a good shove. Just a thought.

Large hammer and a flat head screw driver in the joins for the fireplace, love a feature wall it just breaks things up.

Oh my god, coving, I took mine off when I decorated, big mistake, big cracks plaster came off, so I filled the holes and cracks and put new coving up to hide the mess behind it 😂

I have a feature wall of sorts in my kitchen! I do love it. The colour continues on into the butlers pantry too! I’d say do it! The worst thing that could happen is you don’t like it so you paint over it again!! 🤗

As a decorator, I thought I’d let you know that bathroom paint is a con, they just put that in the tin and then whack up the price. All you need is white silk
