My mom bought her 4 bedroom here in KY for 80k in 2020. No down payment, sellers paid the closing cost. 3.5% interest rate. I can’t even rent a 1 bedroom apartment that’s less, or the same amount as her mortgage is.

We bought our house in 2020. We paid $220k with 2%. Our neighbors just sold for $420k and have an interest rate of 8%. 😫 We couldn't afford to buy our current house.

Taxes should never be allowed to go up while you own the house. You don’t buy anything else not knowing what it may cost you in the future. Honestly, the fact we accept property taxes has got me upset.

i bought a house in 2020 rates were low af! my loan was 1100. bought it at 182000. i had to sell cuz i couldn't afford it. i stayed up until 25' i can only imagine what it would be like for me know.

I’ve doubled my income since I built my home in 2018. More broke than I’ve ever been and have zero lifestyle creep. One car payed off, my wife’s purchased used. I’m 37 and timing was my luckiest factor. Idk how the next generation will do it 😞

Exactly. When I bought at the beginning of 2020, I had 5 sub-$200K options in the Millsboro/Seaford area. Then everything went up beyond $275K
