Allah tells us in the Qur’an: كَلَّا إِذَا بَلَغَتِ التَّرَاقِيَ “When the soul reaches the collarbones.” وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ الْفِرَاقُ “And he knows it is time to depart.” — Surah Al-Qiyamah, 75:26, 28. (quran.com⁠) You know you are leaving. Leaving your family, your home and everything you spent your life chasing. The Prophet ﷺ taught us that Allah accepts repentance until the soul reaches the throat. Once that moment arrives, the opportunity to repent has ended.
