All you people that go out and spend this kind of money at a restaurant, you should be able to pay the tip as well because I guarantee you that the service you received is top notch … if you can’t tip correctly, then don’t go out

A $126 steak and a $20 steak take the same effort to bring to the table 🤷🏻♂️

Tipping should not be based on the cost of the meal. Tipping should be based on quality of service received

don't go out if you don't want to tip 20percent no matter what

Server still basically made $52 SOLELY on that table probably in less than an hour. They have 4-7 other tables. Yall crazy to think they need a higher tip.

This is kind of like buying the luxury car and then complaining it needs premium gas. If you can afford the luxury car but not the premium gas, you can’t afford the luxury car. Same with tipping on a hearty restaurant bill.

Truth be told it should be on the restaurant owner to pay a living wage. Tip culture is ridiculous.

I can see both signs but with inflation for food right now tip is out of touch still same way it comes to table

Really. 20-25% is acceptable unless the service is no up to par. If your gonna spend hundreds on dinner tip accordingly or dont go out

If you sit for an hour to eat and the bill is $10,000 I’m not gonna give you two grand for sitting for an hour✌ 🤣🤣🤷🏻♂️

Company: Will pay the servers less and make customers make up their pay difference!! Then, when they don’t tip 20%+ of the bill, will have the servers get angry at the customers! It’s a win win for the company!!

What is even crazier is going out to eat and spending $700 on one meal. That is insane

I mean even the $51 was to much for me I would have given a good $20 maybe $30. But that’s all.

when I dine at a nice place I expect great food and service. I have no problem tipping accordingly. the staff works hard to get jobs at these establishments.

From this point on Im only tipping a maximum of $10. on any meal. There's no way a waiter should make 22% just for taking an order and bringing the food and refilling my glass. If tge waiter has 4 tables and each table only tips $10 dollars each, that's $40.00 an hour. that's more than I make an hour, and i work way harder. This has opened my eyes. and Im never paying any type of percentage based on the meal...

Servers literally tip out everyone in the restaurant with your tips if you don’t tip me I’m paying for you to eat here 😭🪦

If you can’t tip at least 20 percent don’t go out to eat. That tip is split 3 to 4 ways. The server had to tip the bartender the cook the bus boy and if you put it on a credit card the house got some of it

You’re tipping for service. Not a percentage of the food or drinks.

$10.00 is way more than enough. The fact a suggested tip is on yhe bill is an automatic NO tip

Don’t go out if can afford the tip. Pretty sure table split 5 ways.
