My rule as a mom and grandparent is to say yes to things. If my adult children invite me to something or my grandchildren invite me to something, I say yes and I go and I follow whatever the rules are. It’s served me well.

Laughing.. my hubs invited our grandson and his finance up this weekend for our neighborhood block party. As nicely as I could I told him not to be surprised when they didn’t come because 2 23-year olds aren’t interested in spending their weekend with all us old folks here!!🤣🤣. They love us but they have got to lead their lives!
