@liverhealthmd: Your liver doesn’t keep secrets. It just keeps score. What the guidelines actually say: 🟢 0 drinks/week: best for your health and your sleep 🟡 1–2 drinks/week: low risk 🟠 3–6 drinks/week: moderate risk, with cancer risk climbing 🔴 7+ drinks/week: increasingly high risk, including heart disease and stroke If you do drink: ✔️ Never more than 2 drinks in one day ✔️ Zero alcohol if pregnant or trying to conceive ✔️ Alternate every drink with water ✔️ Try alcohol-free days or full alcohol-free weeks What’s one drink? 341 ml (12 oz) of 5% beer, 142 ml (5 oz) of 12% wine, or 43 ml (1.5 oz) of 40% spirits. The bottom line: less is always better. Every drink you skip is a win for your liver. 💪 This and more info on how to heal your liver in my book Healthy Liver Hacks on Amazon and chapters Educational content only. Fatty liver is not only caused by alcohol. You should state that. There is a stigma to liver disease.

I had medium level fatty liver from diabetes type 2. It's dropping quite well because of my diet change and medication. I'd estimate it to be mild right now. Alcohol does help with blood sugar spikes, and I've mapped that consistently with a CGM. Of course anything excessive cancels out this positive effect.
