The body keeps the score. I have ptsd from the death of my son. I hold chronic tension in my body, I am in pain everyday due to it.

I work in healthcare as well. This is a correlation I wish we talked about more when it comes to mental struggles manifesting into physical struggles- but perhaps the body *is* the mind and soul.

Yes! In nursing school they teach us that the spine is like a second brain to the body! They saying mind over matter is a great example!

I go to Vanderbilt and majority of my undergrad courses dive into consciousness and mind in connection to the body. I love it.

You should look into Goobie and Doobie on youtube. He is an ex neurosurgeon who left the field and has a similar path to you. He talks about this exact subject. I think you would like him.

My mom has spinal stenosis and I always say it’s from her suppressing so much. She’s considering surgery. Any advice?

what do you think about scoliosis, is that inherited trauma?
Yep. My dad was diagnosed with his cancer about 4 months after his mom passed away. The link between mental and physical wellness is more real than we know yet :(

Yes. I wish more people and doctors understood a lot of symptoms, disease, health issues sometimes comes from pushed down emotions and trauma. It’s not just the body its mind body and soul. There’s a lot of free information to learn more knowledge for healing look up internal family systems, EFT tapping, breath work techniques, facia release massage/stretches for healing trauma. Body keeps the score sometimes trauma gets stagnant and stored in the body and doesn’t get all released
