Replying to @pa1b4 🚨 VOLTA NORTH POLICE ARREST TWO SUSPECTS IN SEPARATE DRUG-RELATED CASES; AK-47 AND OTHER FIREARMS RECOVERED The Volta North Regional Police Command has announced major operational developments involving the arrest of two suspects in separate cases related to alleged criminal activities in the region. In the first operation, Saviour Dzadze was arrested on October 14, 2026, at the premises of the Kpando Circuit Court following an allegation that he had threatened the life of a complainant, Mr. Dodzi Kpakpamikpe. A subsequent search at a cottage in Alavanyo-Dzogbedze reportedly led to the recovery of an AK-47 assault rifle, a pump-action gun, a locally manufactured single-barrel gun, ammunition and dried leaves suspected to be cannabis. Police say investigations are ongoing, including efforts to identify other individuals mentioned during interrogation. In a separate operation, Marine Police officers based in Kpando reportedly discovered a suspected cannabis plantation and 16 sacks of dried leaves suspected to be cannabis at Mangoase in the Central Tongu District. A 31-year-old suspect, Vincent Lotsu, was arrested, and the suspected narcotics were sent to a crime laboratory for examination. The Regional Command has reiterated its commitment to combating illegal firearms, drug cultivation and trafficking, while urging the public, especially young people, to stay away from criminal activities and provide credible information to the Police. 🎥 Watch this video for details of the Police briefing and the latest updates on the operations. ⚖️ All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction. 📺 Follow Akpini News for more verified news and updates from Kpando and across the Volta Region. #AkpiniNews #GhanaPoliceService #VoltaNorth #Kpando #AlavanyoDzogbedze
