@lovejenn1111: Writing Can we talk about making friends in midlife? ❤️ By the time we reach midlife, we’ve lived a whole lot of life. We carry our history, our heartbreaks, our lessons, our responsibilities, and the experiences that have shaped us into who we are today. And sometimes, trying to explain all of that to someone new feels exhausting. Starting over, opening up, trusting again, and building new friendships can feel harder than we ever expected. So sometimes we stop trying. We retreat into our own little worlds and convince ourselves that being alone is easier. But is it really what we need? 🤍 We need connection. We need laughter, love, support, meaningful conversations, and people who simply enjoy being around us. Not every relationship needs to become something romantic. Not every friendship needs to come with expectations or obligations. What if we created more spaces where people could simply show up, be themselves, feel accepted, and build genuine friendships? Maybe we need to stop waiting for the perfect people and start creating the community we’ve been missing. Because we weren’t meant to do this life entirely alone. We need each other. We need LOVE.
