Shamir Rafique appeared before Master Rhea Libert at the Chaguanas Masters’ Court on Tuesday, October 13. The matter was adjourned to October 16 and transferred to the Chaguanas Magistrates’ Court. The allegation stems from an October 2025 agreement for 42 bronze-glass windows valued at $29,000, with delivery and installation expected within six weeks. The customer reportedly paid $20,000 upfront but was unable to recover the money after the work was not completed. An investigation by the Fraud Squad led to Rafique’s arrest and subsequent charge.
