@climate_news_daily_: October 13, 2026 | Vladivostok, Russia 🇷🇺 Roads in Vladivostok have flooded due to a powerful cyclone. The situation is most critical near the Stroitel Stadium and under the bridge at Lugovaya Square. Schoolchildren on both shifts were permitted to stay home, and residents were urged not to go outside unless necessary. During the heavy downpour, a woman crossing the street at a pedestrian crossing in Vladivostok was swept away by the rushing water. City officials reported that Vladivostok received more than a month's worth of precipitation—71 millimeters—in just 16 hours. Flooding on many roads caused cars and buses to stall. By 2:00 PM local time (7:00 AM Moscow time), the city had already received its monthly average rainfall; in some districts, precipitation levels reached 120 millimeters.
