This was a hard lesson for me to learn in my 20s too, and I’m still working on it. Some things do require a strong response, some things don’t, and taking the time to vent to my cats first helps me put that into perspective. My cats, the ravens, the garden all get the hot tea then I think through what’s best served to the people around me. And my cats love me, the ravens are always in my yard and the garden is thriving so I think they actually enjoy it.

It’s so hard. As a very fiery Aries with a strong sense of justice I definitely learned the hard way in my younger years to hold my tongue and give my self some time to see through the anger/hurt before I say anything. Some of my biggest regrets are from when I just Instantly reacted, just to realize later there was a better way of handling it.
