@nbcnewyork: Condolences and tributes continue to pour in for the volunteer fire chief who was killed in a hit-and-run crash on the New Jersey Turnpike. Bunting now hands outside the Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Station and flags are at half-staff for Chief Brian Flanagan. The 47-year-old fire chief was also a construction worker. Police say Flanagan was working in a marked construction zone on the turnpike near Edison early Tuesday when he was hit an SUV driver that entered the two-lane closure.
