I had someone grab a drink off a tray from me once, which sent the entire tray toppling all over him and the table. I’m talking shattered glass and ice everywhere. He got SO MAD as if it was my fault and not his, so I move them to another table and give him extra napkins. I go to clean up the mess so someone else doesn’t die and he starts snapping at me saying hello!!! We’re ready!!! I love customer service

In my first job, I was 14/15 at the time and only just learned how to carry a tray comfortably ish. The tray was full and as I took it to the table, a customer took a drink off the tray and the drinks all spilled all over me😭. Our uniform was white, and I was covered in wine, beer and all sorts and I also got screamed at by my manager in front of a FULL restaurant. Let’s just say I walked out in tears and was too embarrassed to go back😭

a really similar thing happened to me I brought over a tray of hot coffee, a bottle of wine and a few wine glasses and the customer grabbed the bottle of wine which made me lose balance and then the coffee NEARLY went all over a baby.. they were livid even though it was their fault 😭😭

Worked at a sushi place, was carrying 4 hot miso soups, customer picked up the front one and the tray tiled towards me, 3 hot soups spilt down my torso

Definitely not your fault! The first time I ever worked in a pub/kitchen it was my first ever shift and they asked me to do a apple pie and custard. I sent out a frozen apple pie and cold custard 😂😂

Soooo many times. I’m like a teacher “please don’t touch the tray!!” Also when you’re trying to place a HOT plate down they try and take it out of your hands or any plate. NOT HELPFUL just sit down and let me serve you!! Breath in breath out!! 😳😳 😂
