@dubai_with_love: Before he ruled Dubai, he was a young man learning from his father. 🤍 Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid was born on 15 July 1949 at the Al Maktoum family home in Al Shindagha. At seven he was already out in the desert learning falconry, and his first teacher was always his father, Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed. In 1968 he trained as an officer cadet at Mons Officer Cadet School in England and finished top of his class. On 1 November 1968, at just 19, his father appointed him head of Dubai Police and Public Security. When the UAE was founded in December 1971, he became the country's first Minister of Defence, at 22. Through the 70s he stood beside Sheikh Zayed and his father as the young nation built its armed forces. On 4 January 2006 he became Ruler of Dubai. Which photo is your favourite?
