#Inverted This League Needs Jesus The WNBA season is finally over, and instead of feeling excited about next season, I honestly feel relieved. And that’s a problem. When I say this league needs Jesus, I’m talking about humility, respect, accountability, integrity, and professionalism. Somewhere along the way, those values seem to have gotten lost. I’m tired of the constant controversies, personal attacks, media bias, double standards, unnecessary physicality, vulgarity, and disrespect. The treatment of Caitlin Clark, the ongoing hostility between players, and the divisiveness surrounding this league have become exhausting. And it’s not just the players. The entire culture needs an overhaul, from the commissioner’s office to the coaches, broadcasters, reporters, and even the fans. We need journalists who report fairly, broadcasters who put personal biases aside, and stronger safeguards against conflicts of interest. When someone like Renee Montgomery has an ownership stake in the Atlanta Dream while also working in broadcasting, I believe that raises legitimate questions about impartiality. And commentators like Monica McNutt should be held to the same standards of fairness when discussing Caitlin Clark as they are with every other player. Nobody should be above criticism, but nobody should be subjected to unfair treatment either. The next commissioner needs to understand that the WNBA is a professional sports product. It’s time to elevate the standards, improve the presentation, establish consistent accountability, and create a culture where every player is respected regardless of race, sexuality, popularity, or personal beliefs. I’m not asking players to stop being competitive or passionate. I’m asking them to show some class. You can celebrate championships without being vulgar. You can play physical basketball without being reckless. You can disagree with someone without tearing them down. The fans deserve better. The players deserve better. And the league itself deserves better. The WNBA doesn’t just need a new commissioner. It needs a complete cultural reset. Because at some point, the basketball needs to become bigger than the drama. #WNBA #CaitlinClark #WNBANews #WNBABasketball
