Girl pets at home are the worst. They are not animal lovers they are all for money. Also insurance isn’t the thing anymore. They will find any little thing to get out of paying. I have 6 dogs and I now have learnt to not pay it and to put money aside each month. Sometimes what the insurance would be and sometimes I can put more away. It’s not like it used to be vets used to care now it’s all about money. Not just vets basically everything and everyone is about money now. Sad because some people find thereself at an emergency vet the insurance won’t pay out and they have no choice but to sign there pets over or have them put to sleep because they simply can’t afford the treatment. I couldn’t be a vet because I would be a broke one. With the thorn in a paw soak the paw in a nice warm bowel of salty water do this throughout the day as many times as you like eventually it will loosen and come out. 🥰

The vets are supposed to be upfront about costs prior to any consultation and/or treatment. Our Bengal 🐈‍⬛ injured its leg and paw 2 weeks ago, pay ins and a pet plan every month and couldn’t get an emergency appt for 2 days straight (pet plan covers emergency consultation) then they told me to call OOH emergency vets who after badgering them said consultation OOH fee would be £305 just for a 10 min consult and Medicam (which is what was needed) would cost me additional £190 but if I claim off ins with £100 initial excess it would cover 50% treatment. I lost the plot 👩🏻🔫 They wouldn’t be upfront about costs first, so ended up complaining and cancelling petplan Xx
