It’s very reminiscent of people who complained that they lost in infinity war. If you expected a win during infinity war, you lost the plot. In a big two part like this, the first half is a downer and the second half is the recovery.

the pacing and meaning behind the deaths can make a big difference between earned, emotional moments and just haphazard, mean spirited killing for the sake of killing. infinity war did a good job of using the opening scene to establish the stakes, gamora to keep the fear of thanos going, and then vision plus the snap for an effective shocker at the end. if its 2.5 hours of dr. doom rolling through universes killing off the fox xmen and others like wanda tearing through the illuminati just so we can watch them die, i can see that turning people off. it sounds concerning for sure but test screenings arent always the best sample so still going to go see it.
