@realbraidenshaw: Should minimum wage be based on the cost of living, how productive workers are, or what employers are willing to pay? Curious to hear your thoughts 👇

What we need to do is eliminate the minimum wage and replace it with a cost of living wage that is factored by the cost of living, like the cost of housing eg. rent and mortgage, the cost of groceries, the cost of healthcare, and other things that you need, then as inflation occurs adjust the wage according to this, then the next thing we need to do is stop the lobbyist called labor unions from blocking any form of wage increase, because they are the reason why we haven't had wage increase.

Why do we use this 7.25 number as if its commonly paid or even the minimum wage in most states?

The $15/hr debate has been going on so long that $15/hr is no longer enough to live on in most states. That's only $31,000/year before taxes, assuming full time.

I make $25 an hour and it’s good enough to live and have some nice things but it’s not good enough to live stress free one fancy night out and I’m eating at my moms house just to make it to pay day

It should be off productivity and share buybacks should be illegal again. Also, the highest paid employee in any org should never make more than 100:1 than the lowest. Anything else is shareholder theft and should be paid back in dividends

If minimum wage go up every body salary or dollars per hour would have to go up also for balance and that mean the cost of goods would have go up cause producers would have to raise price in order to support the new pay system and from that we would be in the same spot we in now they they’ll want another minimum wage growth again 😂

Productivity is largely brought about by investment by companies. Workers have no claim to the benefits of that investment.

Say goodbye to 3/4 of small businesses if that is the case. It’s not equal across the board for production and money earned. A bakery and a tech firm are not equal for income.
