@noobsdotgg: Activision’s chief marketing officer has made a bold claim about this year’s biggest games, and Zelda didn’t make the list. Asked by The Game Business whether GTA 6 and the Ocarina of Time remake were this year’s Barbenheimer, Tyler Bahl replied, “no offense to Zelda,” but GTA 6 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 are “the two biggest games of the year.” His argument is that GTA 6 will help Call of Duty. More people dusting off their Xbox or PlayStation to play GTA means more eyeballs on Modern Warfare 4. The three launches are close together. Modern Warfare 4 comes out on October 23, the Zelda remake follows on November 5, and GTA 6 lands on November 19. The platforms differ too. The Zelda remake is Switch 2 exclusive, while Modern Warfare 4 is available on PC, and GTA 6 isn’t on PC at launch. Zelda fans took the comment as a challenge, and the sales numbers will settle it. #callofduty #modernwarfare4 #gta6 #zelda #gamingnews
