@ialchemy: Why is gas so expensive right now? The U.S. average is $4.35/gal, up $1.23 from a year ago ($3.12) and above Oct 2022 ($3.78). In March, Brent crude jumped from ~$71 to $111+ as hostilities cut Middle East oil flows. Diesel is $6.20 (+67%), and East Coast diesel stocks are 32% below normal.
