He wanted to laugh, feel excitement, and live freely, even if his idea of freedom meant destroying everything around him. As the story progresses, Furuta succeeds in overthrowing the Washuu family and taking control of the CCG. He creates chaos on an enormous scale, using fear and destruction to reshape the world according to his own wishes. Yet beneath his confidence and theatrical behavior lies a person who seems unable to imagine a future where he could simply live peacefully.
