Dukes art really ties the room together I know this is redundant, but we’re gonna start from the top & do this is a few videos. 1. Keep things out that you use. You’re more likely to use them & keep them clean. 2. “Handedness” in the kitchen matters. Ergonomics matters. If you’re left handed, put a 1/8 sheet tray on a leftmost eye of your stove with a Bain Marie of tools, so they’re more readily available. 3. Feels redundant, but make food you need to use up visible! We’re dumb donkeys most of the time & need reminding that yes, there is peanut butter & we don’t have to buy more. 4. The 20# gag of rice lives in the pantry but the small rice lives by the stove 🤍 5. Butter salt sugar forever 6. We don’t have many drawers. Hence, the magnetic hooks. I like the way it looks. The end. 7. Onions like airflow & I like many, many towels. 8. I don’t often do recipe development at home, but when I do, I use a scale & write it down. It’s just nice to have paper around. This notebook is far too nice for the purpose & is from @knifewear Very handy— has a lot of standard volumetric & weight conversions, a seasonality schedule for produce, and examples of different knife cuts. Perfect for old pros and home cooks alike! 9. The cookbook rotation is constantly changing. Right now it’s a lot of pasty & bread textbooks. 10. Big thanks to @balsam_business_photo for our @dukes_mayonnaise art ❤️ The prep table & overmounted shelf are from @webstaurantstore #kitchen #cooking #kitchenorganization #homecook #chef
