It breaks my brain trying to understand how another human being can see somone just trying to survive and live their life and believe that person should feel shame for that. There’s never shame in survival.

This is like the guy who said living in your car videos is glamorizing homelessness. As someone who lived in her car in highschool I absolutely could have used some of those tips on how to make the space work and how to stay safe when I was 16 and my school security guard use to check on me in the middle of the night because I had no window covers or tint and I had to leave the car on for heat.

The thing is to all these people are like go get a job get a place to live. I hope they understand most of these people on the Internet, make more money posting content that they would from a regular 9 to 5 job. These people are doing that in the shelter they are trying to make money to move on and out. People are judging other people for their living situation. That way they dress the way they talk all those kind of things are freaking weird. They all need to get better life.

I love you nina. My partner and I were literally talking about community the other day! I grew up being taught the concept of community but its not where to be found. We need MORE people talking about this stuff because we never know who it can help! For example, your recent videos have helped me with my mother a lot more. To understand she's not a narcissist but that doesnt mean her actions arent narcissistic like. Much love 💜

There’s a high concentration of unhoused people who come into where I work, and as an assistant manager I have to deal every day with customers complaints and negative comments. Even as an assistant, I’m all too aware I’m not far from them as my rent keeps going up and my paychecks don’t give me the same purchasing power they used to.

If I needed to leave my husband, passively seeing the potential living conditions on TikTok and seeing them not being as bad as I assumed they would be and seeing someone else getting through it would be so empowering.

I grew up in and out of a shelters with my mom. It sucked at the time but as an adult I work my butt off to make sure my own kids don’t have to experience it. However they very much know how their mama grew up and I teach them to value everything they have because we are all one mistake away from living in shelters or on the street for that matter.
