Petechiae are like micro bruises, they are flat and look like tiny red freckles, they aren't permanent and will generally fade and change like a bruise. Whereas a cherry angioma is a mole, they are benign, often slightly raised, and permanent.

I have petechiae all over my chest and breasts. I’ve had it for a few yrs. I’m absolutely drained all the time. My skin is so itchy it’s like fire, I have sores from scratching that won’t heal and it’s been 6-8 months of them not healing

I get the petechia and brown spots appear on the parts of my body that is inflamed due to my lupus constantly in fight mode . My oncologist said the only way to find out if you have blood cancer is through the bone marrow biopsy

I have them on my chest. Now they’re also on my inner biceps near my armpit and some on my forearms. They’ve been spreading. It’s 100% petechia. This is scary. Wishing you healing. I’m sorry you’re going through this.

Petechiae (aye at the end) - these are small deposits of blood that break through the capillary and show like small freckles - they do not blanch (meaning if you put pressure on them they will remain red) and they are common for leukemia, severe infections- strangulation and a couple other things!! - I’m sorry they didn’t find out sooner but I’m happy they were able to help you!

cherry angiomas are like moles but RED. not a rash or freckle like pattern. CA literally almost like a blood blister not a small little bump or patch

Wait, you noticed from the red freckle on your skin? I have a few and my blood charts are all messed up. Always showing red flags. Did you get your blood taken first? Were they tracking you by any chance? (Like any sort of disorders?)

My dad also had multiple myeloma. He also got black eyes out of nowhere and we had no idea why. Turns out that was also a symptom. He ended up having a stem cell transplant and he has been doing amazing since!

My dad was diagnosed in March of 2021…did chemo until November and did a stem cell transplant. He’s been in “remission” since then! Has anyone else in your family been diagnosed previously? My grandma (his mom) also had MM and it’s just bizarre to us because we were told it wasn’t genetic

My 79 yo dad’s entire legs were covered in these red pin like dots he was also bruising he went to family doctor feeling really unwell already and he told him go for blood tests but not to worry much it’s nothing. Same day hubby took him to ER his platelets were 0. He spent almost 3 mths at hospital came home for 3 weeks and platelets again fell from 165 to 5, So he’s at hospital feeling well but as precaution getting medication and also receiving 3rd or 4th chemo
