@earthpulse1111: 🇳🇵 Nepal is more than a destination. It is home. The August 26 floods left at least 1,455 people dead, 5,285 missing, and approximately 7,500 homes damaged or destroyed, according to AP’s October 7 report. Behind those numbers are families still waiting for answers. (apnews.com) Estimated losses to property, housing, and infrastructure reached US$2.56 billion. Then, on October 11, another flood struck Gorkha, sweeping away around 36 homes. Five people remained missing, with no confirmed deaths reported as of October 12. (reuters.com, apnews.com, reuters.com) Animals have suffered too—livestock swept away, pets separated from their families, and wildlife displaced or killed. Their full losses remain uncounted in the reports reviewed. (worldanimalprotection.org) If we celebrate Nepal’s mountains, we must also care about the communities who call them home. Recovery deserves attention long after the headlines fade. We are made to climb this mountain. #Nepal #NepalFloods #MountainCommunities #StandWithNepal
