All the meaning mentioned is just chemicals in your brain. “The point of existence itself is meaning making” so 14 billion light years of space just for a few planets of hardly sentient beings. You can’t accept that your just a natural phenomenon, you falsely connect nihilism to duality (which is insane when ur first example is creator and created then good or bad) and then make the non dualist argument which is just as irrelevant as dualism. “universe overflowing with meaning” one tiny spec of dust planet with a few carbon life forms yea. Reality isn’t manifesting itself there is no divine consciousness, it’s just natural phenomenon. There is no duality it’s just e=mc2 it’s just energy and matter it’s an infinite universe of energy matter and laws there is no expression it just is. In the beaver example reality dosent generate the sticks and mud of survival life forms adapt to live and those sticks and mud become meaningful to it through evolution. That meaning is ONLY the chemical in its head and it’s not generated by reality. Meaning is just an accident but became a survival instinct it’s not made by reality, you can only come to these conclusions because you are a “non dualist” but dualism (the marble and the box) is your own straw man for nihilism it’s just a universe of nearly infinite marbles in an ever expanding universe. Reality does NOT manifest itself that’s the biggest lie in this video. The second biggest is that everything is one, we know what reality looks like why are we just lying about what it is. Everything is within ever expanding spacetime so technically it can be one but it dosent make it so reality directly makes meaning and that “one” isn’t doing anything everything just exists. Reality dosent make anything it’s just phenomenon a few of the right chemicals in the right environments over billions of years. That isn’t an expression there is no “one”. There is no marble there, there is no self, trying to simply reality into “one” is nonsensical. Everything isn’t one, it’s just fiction once you adapt that belief.

I’m sure spiritually would make life better and more fulfilling. But a better life doesn’t make it necessarily true. I don’t know I could force myself to believe something I can’t 100% prove. The diglet perspective is interesting though.

What about absurdism though? Same basis technically, wouldn’t it be more correct to assume the people who you refer to are absurdists? Nihilism is more of a negative view on the nothingness
