Therefore, I Will Call Upon You As Long As I Live! 💛 Tonight, I'm thinking about something that brings such comfort and gratitude to my heart. GOD LISTENS WHEN I CALL! 🙌🏽 Think about that for a moment. The Creator of heaven and earth… The One who holds the universe in His hands… The One who knows the beginning from the end… INCLINES HIS EAR UNTO ME! ❤️ The Psalmist said in Psalm 116: “I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.” And then he made a declaration: “THEREFORE WILL I CALL UPON HIM AS LONG AS I LIVE.” I love that! He didn't say he would only call when he needed something. He didn't say he would only pray when trouble came. He didn't say he would stop calling once his prayers were answered. He said, AS LONG AS I LIVE! And tonight, that's my declaration too! I will call upon Yahweh when I'm rejoicing. I will call upon Him when I'm hurting. I will call upon Him when I need direction. I will call upon Him when I don't understand. And I will call upon Him when everything is going well, simply to say THANK YOU! 🙏🏽 Because prayer is more than presenting a list of requests. PRAYER IS RELATIONSHIP! It's the privilege of communicating with the One who created me, loves me, and invites me into His presence. And what amazes me is that I never have to wonder whether He's too busy to listen. I never have to make an appointment. I never have to wait until He's available. HIS EAR IS ALREADY INCLINED UNTO ME! Now, that doesn't mean every prayer will be answered exactly when or how I expect. But it does mean I can trust that my prayers are heard by a loving Father who knows what is best. So tonight, I'm not just thanking Yahweh for the prayers He has answered. I'M THANKING HIM FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF BEING HEARD! And as long as He gives me breath, I intend to keep calling on His name.
