@theroguednc: Former Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar has sued Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for defamation after Netanyahu accused him of failing to warn him before the October 7 attack. Bar says he repeatedly warned Netanyahu for months that the risk of war with Hamas was growing and that stronger action was needed, but those warnings were not acted on. In the defamation suit Bar details the steps that he and the intelligence agency took in the early hours of October 7 to update the military Secretariat of the Prime Minister’s office. Bar also mentions that his claims are supported by written documents that he will provide in court.
