Luffy :
oda also could have given Luffy multiversel powers if he wanted to but he just wanted to keep the story grounded not always some alien invasion shit and powers of ultimate galaxy star beyond milky way galaxy and he can travel beyond speed of light and time travel if he wanted type shit, instead he kept the story grounded but fantastic world building and wonderful backstories and we op fans love it, not everyone wants their MC to have super ultimate pro max milkyway galaxy powers,Luffy seeks freedom similar to the current world without wars and starving children, thats why we love Luffy, say he is the weakest of big 3 or whatever you want, but we have the most wholesome, kind, caring MC of all
