@officiallymalek: 7 months ago I was in my final year at uni, emailing event organisers asking if I could come in. I’d been building online for almost three years by then, but I still felt like I was on the outside of the rooms I wanted to be in. So I stopped waiting for an invite. I asked to attend. I showed up. I spoke to people. I followed up the next day. Then I did it again. This month I sat on my first panel, and people afterwards assumed I was older because of what I’d already done.
