the reason it works in Mexico is because they usually have concrete floors. you definitely caused some damage to your floors doing that

I do that. We do soapy mop first then clean up with a wet mop. Rinse and mop dry. It’s extra steps but it leaves the floors incredibly clean. I have the no shoe inside rule so they last me 2 weeks.

Don’t do this 😔 I work in restoration. And you don’t know how many houses I have cared for becuase they have mold from doing this.

You need one of these, after scrubbing you squeegee it all out the door lol, if there’s no door close by you can just mop it up and then mop again after rinsing the mop out well. Have it semi soaked in just plain hot water to get the soap residue off

grout isnt waterproof. water in large amounts will seep through to the wood underneath for houses here in the US. it only works in mexico bc houses are made of concrete

Just mop it up with hot water & dump and hot water again & then my 3rd time i apply just a scent but you dont have to… im usually tired on the second dump lmao

You will have to clean water mop it until its no longer soapy. also... becarefuk with what products you use on tile and grout... the grout is something that will easily wear away over time.

So, your floors just aren’t build for that, water likely found its way under your floor. But as for the soap, just go back over it with just water a couple times until it’s done
