@cbcnl: A new report recommends Newfoundland and Labrador's MHAs should have their salaries increased to $117,000 per year. We took the question to people in St. John's: Should MHAs get a raise? #newfoundlandandlabrador #newfoundland #payraise #government #cbcnews
LPN and PCA contract has been up since April!!!! Frontline workers should get a raise.

They should make minimum wage and nothing more. If they want to live comfortable, the minimum wage should match that lifestyle. If that's too much to pay ANY worker then they deserve the same. If they want money, they should earn it and give us the same. They don't deserve more. They don't deliver for us.

Look at what the average income is in your province. They should not be earning more than twice that amount. An increase yes, a double digit increase no. Don’t forget all the perks they receive with it, housing allowance, car allowance, meal allowance. Everyone talks about teachers work schedule and how much time they are “off” the same can be said for elected officials these days.
