I teach high school and am always so upset when students with adhd come to my class thinking they're damaged goods. Adhd can be a super power of you let it. It can absolutely be an asset in the right settings.

finally got on medication at 20 after being diagnosed when I was 13. I was immediately enraged. I did OK in school, but it could have been SO MUCH EASIER!!!

See with me I become super focused but on the wrong stuff. I get so anxious and lock in on extra stuff that doesn’t need to be locked in on so I miss all my school work anyway. That and also it gave me bad side effects and used up all my energy to the point I’d pass out 😭

Yes but I was diagnosed in third grade and my meds "amazing" side effect is loss of appetite and because they did make me act calmer I eventually became really shy and I still don't talk to new people unless I'm off my meds and even then it's little yo nothing
