What began as a movement about French schools has increasingly become a vehicle for something entirely different. Pro-Palestinian slogans have entered the demonstrations, while figures on the radical left have embraced the movement. And this week, @Gretathunberg joined students outside a high school in Saint-Denis wearing a Palestinian keffiyeh. We’ve watched Palestinian activism become a fixture of protests far beyond the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Now even a fight over French classrooms is being used as a vehicle to spread anti-Jewish and anti-Israel hatred.
