@znbctoday: Lusaka Council Issues Ultimatum to Traders at Kafue Roundabout By Margaret Luhanga The Lusaka City Council –LCC- has given 50 traders operating near Kafue Roundabout, along the Flyover Bridge, 14 days to demolish illegal structures erected on the road reserve. LCC Public Relations Manager CHOLA MWAMBA says the structures were built without planning permission, in violation of the Urban and Regional Planning Act No. 3 of 2015. Ms. MWAMBA says enforcement notices were issued on October 14, 2026 and will remain in effect until October 29, 2026. She says the affected traders have been directed to demolish the structures and restore the land to its original condition. Meanwhile, Ms. MWAMBA has disclosed that about 90 per cent of the illegal structures erected along Kalusha Bwalya Road have been demolished. She says the demolitions followed several notices issued to the traders, which were ignored. Ms. MWAMBA says the council remains committed to restoring order in the city and ensuring that all developments comply with planning regulations.
